Following a forensic interview, a young child in Cambodia was identified as a victim of Human Trafficking. A team of lawyers and government social workers united to prosecute the child's offender and bring justice. The perpetrator was arrested, sentenced to seven years in prison, and fined.
This court victory protects other children who may be at risk of exploitation and brings hope for future justice in Cambodia. The child survivor is currently in our partner's aftercare program, receiving long-term care and support services to work towards restoration.
Because of your support, we are able to help fund the cambodia child advocacy centre to see more stories of justice like this one.
